In Memory - Steve Irwin

Yesterday evening our family watched a documentary in memory of the late Steve Irwin; A marathon - Steve Irwin (aka Crocodile Hunter) 1962 - 2006.

My grandson Nigel and his uncle Bill, are especially keen viewers of Steve's animal planet. Whenever our TV is switched on and these two will turned on the APL channel. As for Nigel he wants TV all to himself. No other channels are to be selected but only "animal planet". Hmmm.. I guess he has some interests there! He called Steve his "kokodail fuen", which actually means "crocodile friend".

Well, though Steve has died, we do hope his TV series will continue to be screened. And hopefully as my grandchildren gradually grow up, their interests in knowing more about the wildlifes continue.

To you dear "Kokodail fuen", rest in peace. May God bless and take care of all who loves you. Amen.

In Memory - Mother Teresa

My catholic colleagues were sharing their views on the late Mother Teresa and especially her works in charities. We were planning of doing some charitable works on Friday, 15th of September during our company's "Work Hard Play Hard" Day.
My fond memories of Mother Teresa are her humbleness and compassion towards fellow men, especially those who are less fortunate. She worked and prayed unceasingly to improve the living conditions and lives of people who were homeless and unwanted. Whenever I think about her boundless love, I couldn't help in not shedding tears of happniness for her inwards beauty. Let's pray and hope that each person have the kind of compassion like hers.
I am posting this article as a dedication to my family and sharing with them about "Mother's Love", which is boundless and inmeasureable. Only mothers know how deep is their love for their loved ones.
Mother Teresa of Calcutta, OM, (born Agnesë Gonxhe Bojaxhiu August 26, 1910 – September 5, 1997) was an Albanian Roman Catholic nun of Romanian descent, who founded the Missionaries of Charity in India. Her work among the poverty-stricken of Kolkata (Calcutta) made her one of the world's most famous people, and she was beatified by Pope John Paul II in October 2003. Hence, she may be properly called Blessed Teresa by Catholics.
Born in Skopje, in today's Republic of Macedonia, at 18 she left home to join the Sisters of Loretto. In 1962, she received the Magsaysay Award for Peace and International Understanding. In 1971, she was awarded the Pope John XXIII Peace Prize. Teresa was also awarded the Templeton Prize in 1973, the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979, and India's highest civilian award, the Bharat Ratna, in 1980. She was awarded the Legion d'Honneur from Jean-Claude Duvalier in 1981. She was presented with the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1985, was made an Honorary Citizen of the United States in 1996, and received the Congressional Gold Medal in 1997. She was the first and only person to be featured on an Indian postage stamp while still alive. Her supporters sometimes referred to her as the "Angel of Mercy" and "Saint of the Gutter."
Teresa was also known for her books about Christian spirituality and prayer some that were written together with her close friend Frère Roger.
While many Catholics and others considered Teresa the embodiment of a "living saint," critics have raised questions about her public statements, working practices, political connections, and the use of funds donated to her charity.

Nicole's 2nd Birthday at Lutong

Hello there! I am Nicole and I have just turned 2 years old on 27th of August.

My dad and mum helped me with cutting my birthday cake. :)

See that little cute boy there? He's my brother Nigel and best buddy. Seemed that mum got some food not to her likings eh? Dad is always keeping a watchful eye on my brother because he could be out of control at times! :)

I gave my grandma my best smile on the day she took this snapshot.
