Meet The New Kid in Town
It is Friday and I am already looking forward to the weekend. I especially enjoy Saturday because I will be baby-sitting my grandchildren since their parents both works on Saturday morning. Nigel, Nicole and I would have fun out in the yard if the weather were good. We’ll be drying out the clothes, playing hide-and-seek and does a little bit of gardening. Otherwise if the weather does not permit, we will just stay indoors to watch TV, play games, drawing and scribbling, quilting (that’s for me) and of course baby-sitting baby Trevor Kent together.
Trevor Kent Nyelipi is the newest person in our family and he was borne on 20th December 2006 to parent Bills (my eldest son) and Tracy. He is my second grandson while Nigel is the eldest.
Trevor had a twin brother whom we christened Brooke Chamberlain. Brooke passed away while still in his mother’s womb. The twins were borne premature (at 32nd weeks pregnancy) and delivered by Caesarean. For the first 15 days after his birth, Trevor was cared for at neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), a special care unit of a hospital specializing in the care of ill or premature newborn infants.

It breaks our hearts to lost Brooke but we believe it is God’s great mercy and love that we cannot have him and we know he is having an angel looking after him in heaven.
We have Trevor to love and we are enjoying every moment with him. He is slowly growing and gaining weight. At birth, he was a mere 1.5 kg baby and of today he has put on another 1.5kg. He is so adorable and his cousins, Nigel and Nicole are equally protective over him. They won’t allow anyone to cuddle him too long or take him out for an evening walk without grandma coming along. How very sweet of them both and what a blessing indeed having these young children around.
Oh yes, they can be a handful for an ole’ grand lady like me, but am I complaining? Nay! What I am going through is only normal and it requires me to adjust to changes. Praise the Lord for He blesses me with plenty of joy and love to make up my day!
